What do you love about what you do?

I love helping people realise their potential and that life can and will be easier when you are fitter and stronger. I love the challenge of finding the right exercises and physical activity program for each person no matter their ability, needs or goals.

What’s the best part of your job?

I love a challenge and I love doing what others are afraid or not confident to take on. I love connecting with people and finding out what makes them tick as well as their story.

Watching someone’s confidence and love for life grow as they go through their journey.

Tell us a good news story about one of your clients?

One of my clients came in on a recommendation from their brother-in-law. She wanted help to manage her weight and subsequently help her breathing and quality of life. When she first came in, she was nervous, quiet and struggled to breath doing just 5 minutes on the bike. After a few weeks she started to notice that she was able to physically and mentally do a lot more. She was able to run around after her nephew and put her shoes on more easily. She started riding to work a couple of days a week, danced all night at 2 weddings and a Hens Night (without getting out of breath), and she told her story to over 100 soon-to-graduate students. I regularly get text messages of her accomplishments and relish in the fact that she shares this with me. She has increased the weights she is lifting; she can now jog on the treadmill for a few minutes!! And we are going to complete the 12km HBF Run for a Reason this year and I’m so excited to be able to get her over the finish line. She has developed a much better relationship with food (including still having treats without feeling guilty) and has lost over 20kg in 5 short months.

What are your goals?

I want to expand my cardiac rehab business so that I can help as many people as possible live their life limited only by their imagination and not some perceived inability or restriction. In short, I want to have 10 cardiac rehab clinics around Western Australia helping 200,000 people by 2030.

I want to create a community that values life and provides support for people to be more physically active.

I want to change the face of cardiac rehab to be accessible and fun for everyone.

Personal work philosophy?

Inspire and laugh every day. If you’re doing something you love and that inspires you, it will never feel like work. Find your passion and turn it into a career.

What makes your firm different? Why should people choose YOU?

We truly care for each and every patient. We want to be a part of your journey, to watch you grow and realise your true potential, not just physically but mentally and emotionally too. We want to help our patients live their lives limited only by their imagination. We listen to everyone’s story and come up with a personalise exercise and lifestyle program based on their needs and wants.
